Area Youths Win Honors in PEPSI® Major League Baseball® Pitch Hit & Run™ Competition

36 participants from the mid-coast area competed in the local PITCH HIT & RUN™ Competition hosted by the Medomak Valley Community Foundation, Waldoboro Little League and the Waldoboro Recreation Department on Saturday, May 20th, 2006 at Medomak Valley High School. The winners will now compete in the Sectional competition, to be held May 27th in Bangor. Sectional All-Around Champions become eligible to qualify for the Team Championship to be held in June at Fenway Park in Boston. PITCH HIT & RUN™ is a baseball skills competition that allows youngsters to showcase their talents in pitching, hitting and running with scores determined by individual performances in each event.
