Phase Two - Skate Park and Trails
The Waldoboro Community Project
Phase II includes:
- Construction of an outdoor skateboard park with removable jumps, half-pipes, etc.; in the winter, this area will convert into a lighted outdoor ice-skating area
- Construction of an outdoor walking/jogging trail (approx. ½ mile in length) which encircles the entire property
Phase II will continue the plan of providing priority facilities. The outdoor trail and Skateboard Park will provide safe areas for outdoor recreation. There is no facility in our community for skateboarders, and walkers and joggers must use our roadways due to the limited number of sidewalks in our community. Completion of these facilities will immediately provide safe recreation for hundreds of residents. Based on fundraising results, Phase II begins approximately one year after the completion of Phase I.
