July 6, 2008, A view of the Area, looking toward Miller School in the distance. One day before construction starts.

July 7, 2008, the ground breaking ceremony. In the back, you can see Crooker & Sons working on the area. (l to r) Bill Maxwell, Paul Kennedy, Jane Lichtman, and Charlotte Davenhill, turn over the first earth for the project. They represent members of the first Town Rec. Committee to work on site development.

July 10, 2008, Work continues as contractor harvests the loam to be used later when the site is leveled and the drainage layer is installed. The entry to the site is reshaped for the drainage system. Miller School is beyond the distance trees to the right.
